OVERCAST NIGHT
Skies won’t change much overnight as clouds blanket the area. There could be patchy fog or drizzle but most areas should remain dry. Lows will drop to the low to mid 30s.
A Code ORANGE Air Quality Alert has been issued for parts of the area. This means that air pollution may be unhealthy for those of you sensitive to high concentrations of pollutants, for example, people who suffer from asthma, the elderly and young children. Minimize the effects by limiting strenuous activity or exercise outdoors.
BREAKS OF SUN
Heading through the day, the clouds will break up allowing for some peaks of sunshine which will help to get temps to the mid to upper 40s. Still expect to see more clouds than sunshine. Winds remain light to calm for much of the day.
MILD BUT UNSETTLED
On Wednesday and warm front pushes northward early which could keep temps in the 40s for the day as the flow out of the southeast and the clouds will hold them back. By Thursday, the winds pickup out of the southwest allowing for milder air to move in and warm us into the mid 50s, maybe even warmer in some spots. Showers should hold off until late in the day towards evening as an approaching cold front heads our way.
Friday, as of now, looks wet and dreary. Areas of low pressure will ride the front which looks to stall across the area, keeping things pretty wet and cool much of the day. Temperatures will move very little remaining in the 40s.
WEEKEND OUTLOOK
High pressure builds in for Saturday bringing sunshine back but temperatures will be cooler as an upper level trough settles in overhead. Highs will be chilly in the upper 30s to near 40 under partly sunny skies. Sunday, the clouds look to thicken as the next system moves in from the southwest. Right now, models don’t agree so confidence is low on what exactly will happen. Rain or snow showers may be possible late Sunday night into Monday morning which means most of Sunday looks to stay dry for now but temperatures will be noticeably colder in the 30s.
