Today marks Giving Tuesday, as part of the holiday season, and the “Holiday Salute to Military Families” campaign is asking people to give back to the men and women who serve our country.
As part of the effort, Operation Homefront and Fisher House will help ease some of the most difficult burdens facing service members, military families and veterans during the holiday season. Operation Homefront will provide nearly 25,000 toys and more than 17,000 meals to military families nationwide; and Fisher House will provide 50,000 nights of lodging for families to be close to a loved one who is hospitalized.
