NICE EVENING; CLOUDS RETURN

The sunshine has poked through this afternoon warming many areas into the lower 50s.  Clouds fill back in through the evening and temps will fall from the mid 40s to around 39.

COOL AND CLOUDY OVERNIGHT

Skies fill in and clouds lower and once again we’ll start out with a mist or haze in the morning.  Lows will drop to the mid 30s.

AM Hour by Hour

MILDER DAY AHEAD

Despite mainly cloudy skies, temperatures will be mild Wednesday in the low 50s.  There could be isolated areas that reach the mid 50s.  It should be a quiet and dry day with only an isolated threat for a shower very late in the evening.

Evening Forecast
NE High Temps

By Thursday, the winds pickup out of the southwest allowing for milder air to move in and warm us into the upper 50s to perhaps 60 degrees!  Showers should hold off until late in the day towards evening as an approaching cold front heads our way.  It will be a slow mover and could bring a good dose of rain by the end of the week.

Friday, as of now, looks wet and dreary.  Areas of low pressure will ride the front which looks to stall across the area, keeping things pretty wet and cool much of the day.  Temperatures will move very little remaining in the 40s.

WEEKEND OUTLOOK

High pressure builds in for Saturday bringing some sunshine back but temperatures will be cooler as an upper level trough settles in overhead.  Highs will be chilly near 40 under partly sunny skies.  Sunday, the clouds look to thicken as the next system moves in from the southwest.  Right now, models don’t agree so confidence is low on what exactly will happen.  Rain or snow showers may be possible late Sunday night into Monday morning which means most of Sunday looks to stay dry for now but temperatures will be noticeably colder in the 30s.  We could be dealing with an icy mix late Sunday so we’ll have to watch this system closely in the upcoming days.

Monday may start out with an icy mix but precipitation should change to rain as warmer air rides in.  Tuesday it looks like another system moves up the coast.  This one could also bring a chance for a wintry mix.

We’ll keep you posted.

Enjoy the milder days ahead.
