A traffic stop of a suspicious vehicle leads the arrests of three men suspected of a widespread pattern of burglary and theft in Lancaster County, as well as Dauphin and Lebanon counties.  Elizabethtown Borough Police stopped the vehicle at about 3:15 am Monday in the first block of West Bainbridge Street.  Susquehanna Regional Police had issued an alert to be on the lookout for a suspicious vehicle after several people were reported trying to enter parked vehicles.

Three occupants in the vehicle were identified as Clifford Hostetter, 26, Jeremy Wise, 20, and Adam Zink, 19, all of Elizabethtown.  Investigators  obtained a search warrant and recovered over 300 stolen items from the homes of the men, with an estimated value of over $10,000.  The items included cell phones, GPS units, CD’s, video games, backpacks, calculators, keys, laptops, flat screen tv’s and even a handgun.  Nearly all the thefts were done from unlocked vehicles.  Borough police have contacted surrounding police departments to determine other victims and attempt to return their property.
