A Dauphin County man is facing charges after State Troopers say he shot and killed a 27-year-old man early Saturday morning.

It happened around 3:30 a.m. along the 100 block of Lenker Drive in Williamstown.

Police say the victim brought a married Williamstown woman home with him to his trailer. A short time later, the woman’s husband showed up and confronted them.

According to State Police reports, the 53-year-old husband then shot the 27-year-old man. The victim died at the scene.

Police say the husband then assaulted his wife, causing her to be taken to a local hospital.

She was treated and released.

Troopers arrested the husband at the scene. He is being charged with murder, attempted murder, burglary, aggravated assault, reckless endangering, and possessing an instrument of crime.

No other information is being released at this time.
