A woman leaving a pharmacy located in the 1500 block of North George Street was robbed for the prescription pain killers she’d just picked up. It happened just after noon today. Police say the victim knows the robber. He took her prescription that she had just filled and fled in a blue Dodge pickup with black hood. He was last seen traveling southbound on North George Street towards York City.
The victim was not injured during the robbery.
Northern York County Regional Police Department investigators are currently attempting to locate the robber, described as a white male, known to the police department.
Police say this was not a random crime.
