The National Weather Service has issued a WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY starting at 3am tomorrow continuing until 4pm in the afternoon.
MORE SNOW: Another storm system will move in from the southwest clipping our area with snow. This will mainly be a snow event as temperatures will be well below freezing at the surface as well as in the upper levels. So no concern for sleet or freezing rain. It looks to be a fast mover which will cut down on snowfall amounts. Right now, the best chance for light to moderate snow will be during the late morning and early afternoon. The storm starts to wind down after 1pm.
TIMING: Snow will begin around 5am tapering off in the early afternoon.
IMPACTS: Snow may cause poor visibility and snow covered roads leading to slick and icy conditions. This may slow the commute in the late morning hours. Visibility may be lowered to a quarter of a mile so use caution and allow for plenty of time in the morning.
Temperatures will be in the upper 20s.
The evening commute should be precipitation free as the storm will be pulling away. Skies will start to clear out but much colder air will move in for the middle part of the week with lows in the teens and highs only in the 20s.
FRIGID WEEK: The snow showers and wintry weather is done for the rest of the week; however, we’re left with the arctic chill! Highs will be stuck in the mid to upper 20s for Wednesday and Thursday, only nearing 30° on Friday. Sun will roam around to take a bite off the chill each day.
WEEKEND: Models are hinting at our next system for Saturday, which could bring a similar mess as we had this Sunday. Snow, sleet, and freezing rain are all possible, but we still need much more time to hammer out the details. Highs this weekend are in the 30s.
