Police arrest a Harrisburg man after an overnight crime spree in the Wedgewood Hills area. David Lee Haynes, Jr, 31, of the 3200 block of Wakefield Road, was arrested around 1:45am Friday, December 6th, by police responding to a report of an attempted burglary. Haynes was spotted inside a car parked along the street and he took off when he saw police. He was apprehended after a short foot chase.
Haynes is charged with Criminal Trespass, Theft from Autos, and Loitering and Prowling at Night. He was arraigned and lodged in Dauphin County Prison on $25,000 bail.
Haynes admitted to burglarizing two detached garages, stealing a motorcycle, and thefts from autos in the 3100 block of Sunnyside Drive on December 1st. Haynes will be charged with 2 countts of Burglary, 4 countts of Theft from Auto, and 1 countt of Auto Theft for those incidents as well. He remains in Dauphin County Prison.
