Lower Swatara Township Police seek to locate the owner of an injured dog found at about 9:45 in the area of Rosedale Avenue and Stoner Drive. The large male Rottweiller mixed with a blood hound, is tan and black in color.
Police say the dog did appear to be struck by a vehicle, but was bleeding from the neck area. Human footprints and blood were found in the nearby woods possibly where the injury occurred.
Officers stopped the bleeding and took the dog to an animal hospital where it underwent emergency treatment.
