A routine traffic stop leads to a shot fired at a state trooper and a pursuit in Cumberland County.  It began at at about 4:06 pm when a Pennsylvania State Trooper stopped a car  vehicle carrying two men, which had a “dead tag” on Hartzdale Road behind the Capital City Mall in Camp Hill.

One of the men in the vehicle raised a rifle and fired a shot at the Trooper.  The vehicle then sped away. The  pursuit ended when the car crashed in the 3900 block of Hartzdale Drive.  The men jumped out and continued to flee on foot.

After a short foot pursuit, one of the suspects was taken into custody on Cedar Hearst Lane by Lower Allen Police.  The second man was caught and taken into custody without incident a short time later.  One of the suspect was treated after being bitten by a K-9.

No word yet on charges or the names of the suspects.
