Lower Paxton Township Police have charged a Susquehanna Township man with indecently assaulting a five year old girl. Thomas Blake Lightner Jr., 50, of the 100 block of Shell Street, has been charged with Indecent Assault, Unlawful Contact with a Minor and Corruption of Minors, all felonies due to the age of the victim.
According to police, the victim’s parents reported Lightner had touched the girl and had become angry with her when she refused to get into bed with him. That was during the first week of December. Police immediately launched an investigation. Police say Lightner befriended the victim and her family about a year ago after they met at a West Hanover Township church. He was spending a considerable amount of time at the family’s Lower Paxton Township home including sleeping there a couple of nights and had recently volunteered to drive the victim to her school. Investigators believe that there are likely other victims and, if any parents suspect that Lightner may have also indecently assaulted their child, they are encouraged to contact their local police department or Lower Paxton Township Police. Susquehanna Township Police assisted with this investigation.
