U.S. Marshals capture a Harrisburg man, Darryl Pierce, 29. who is wanted on an Attempted Murder charge, in New Mexico.  Pierce is accused of shooting Devin Bullock near the intersection of 5th and Maclay streets in March of 2011.  Police Pierce and another man fired up to 20 shots at Bullock who was hit seven times by bullets causing him serious bodily injury.

Harrisburg City Police, earlier this month, requested the assistance of the U.S. Marshals Service Fugitive Task Force to find Pierce.  The Task Force development information that Pierce was possibly in the Albuquerque, New Mexico area.

This morning, U.S. Marshals took Pierce into custody without incident on Montgomery Boulevard in Albuquerque. He was turned over to the local Sheriff’s Department to be held for an extradition hearing.

Charges against Pierce include, Criminal Attempt Homicide, Aggravated Assault, Criminal Conspiracy, Carrying a Firearm without a License, illegal Possession of a Firearm and Unlawful to Fire Any Weapon.
