Duck-Dynasty Resumes with Phil Robertson

(CNN) — Little more than a week after it suspended “Duck Dynasty” star Phil Robertson for incendiary remarks about homosexuality, the cable channel A&E said Friday that it would include him in future tapings of the reality television show, effectively lifting the suspension amid a flurry of petitions in support of Robertson.

“After discussions with the Robertson family, as well as consulting with numerous advocacy groups, A&E has decided to resume filming Duck Dynasty later this spring with the entire Robertson family,” the channel said in a statement.

In an apparent gesture to the advocacy groups, A&E said that it would “also use this moment” to broadcast public service announcements “promoting unity, tolerance and acceptance among all people.”

The announcement came nine days after A&E originally suspended Robertson. At the time the channel said it was taking an appropriate and necessary action in response to Robertson’s remarks to a GQ magazine interviewer.

How dare A&E try to interfere with a conservative self proclaimed Christian's right to judge and hate other people.

When you make an accusation, back it up with facts. I want you to show exactly where Mr. Robertson said he judged or hated anyone. You have an absolute right to your opinion BUT, you do not have an absolute right to your facts unless you prove them. I am not defending anything but the truth of precisely what Mr. Robinson actually said. We are waiting.

Exactly Joe. So many people (and news streams) are twisting the truth

I doubt if the Robertson's will continue with A&E after their contract runs out. They don't need A&E and surely can do better on another network. Well done to Phil and those who support his stance and beliefs as the majority of this nation does.

I think the "SILENT MAJORITY" is finally waking up! Folks are sick and tired of the political correctness that is running rampant in this country. If you think about it the people who taut being politically correct are some of the worst offenders when it comes to being downright nasty to their fellow countrymen. A double standard, for sure!
