A 35-year-old man was arrested Saturday morning after he assaulted his ex-girlfriend and held her against her will at his Mechanicsburg home, police said.
Authorities have charged James M. Costilow with simple assault, indecent exposure, false imprisonment, harassment and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Police responded to Costilow’s home around 7 a.m. along the 400 block of Stonehedge Lane for a report of a domestic assault. Investigators learned that during the altercation Costilow assaulted his ex-girlfriend and physically held her against her will. Police say that Costilow indecently exposed himself to the woman during the incident.
The woman sustained multiple injuries.
Costilow was arrested and taken to Cumberland County Prison in lieu of $20,000.
A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Jan. 6.
