For the past four years a Perry County couple has offered a designated driving service to people in their area on New Year’s Eve. Scott and Sue Seltzer started ” Suzy and Sunshine Designated Drivers ” as something they just wanted to do for others. They had advertised in the newspaper last year and got no response. Until this year, when they put it on Facebook , and the calls came in. Both for rides, and volunteers willing to help.
“ We hear a lot of people say don’t drink and drive but you don’t hear may people say call us we’ll help you, “ says Sue Seltzer of Duncannon
The couple and the volunteers who stepped up this year do this all for free and hope to do it again next year.
