Manheim Township Police are investigating several burglaries in Manheim Township and one in Lancaster Township.

Someone entered a residence in the 400 block of Amesbury Road and stole copper piping. The loss amount has not been determined. Police say the theft occurred sometime during the month of December 2013.

The next burglary occurred at Moove In Self Storage, 1391 Vermont Avenue, sometime on December 29 or 30, 2013. Burglars cut the chain on the gate to get into the property. Locks were then cut from eight store units. At this time, it is unknown if anything was taken from the units.

Another business, the Brewer’s Outlet, 111 Butler Avenue, fell victim to a burglary sometime overnight Dec 30-31, 2013. The front door was smashed and a safe was stolen.

A home in the 2200 block of Raleigh Drive was ransacked by someone who smashed the glass in a door to get inside. Police do not yet know if anything was taken. This burglary occurred sometime between 9:30 a.m. and 10:15 a.m. December 31, 2013.

A door was forced open to gain access to an apartment in the 1700 block of Judie Lane in Lancaster Township sometime overnight Dec 31, 2013 – Jan 1, 2014. Four handguns, a rifle, ammunition, and a computer were taken.
