Man shot to death along I-81 in Antrim Twp. during possible road range incident


Police are searching for the suspect who shot and killed a 28-year-old man along during an apparent road rage incident along Interstate 81 in Franklin County early Saturday.

According to police reports, 28-year-old Timothy Davison, of Poland, ME, called 911 around 2:10 a.m. to report he was being pursued by a pickup truck in the northbound lanes of I-81 near Exit 3 in Antrim Township.

Police say Davison told 911 operators he was being shot at by the driver during the pursuit. A short time later–the suspect rammed Davison’s vehicle off the road and fired several shots at him.

Davison was taken to York Hospital where he later died.

So far, no arrests have been made.

The suspect was last seen driving a dark blue truck, possibly a Ford Ranger with front end damage.

    I don't believe in coinidence. Therefore, were I the PSP, I might consider this incident vis-a-vis the road rage shooting incident yesterday. Dark blue P/U and black P/U might be the same vehicle.

    Does anyone else see I-81 as a nuisance corridor? Deadly wrecks and incidents like this or high speed chases from the MD line to the NY line in the news frequently. Should have an I-81-dedicated police force.
