Police are searching for the suspect who shot and killed a 28-year-old man during an apparent road rage incident along Interstate 81 in Franklin County early Saturday.

According to police reports, 28-year-old Timothy Davison, of Poland, ME, called 911 around 2:10 a.m. to report he was being pursued by a pickup truck in the northbound lanes of I-81 near Exit 3 in Antrim Township.

Police say Davison told 911 operators he was being shot at by the driver during the pursuit. A short time later, the suspect rammed Davison’s vehicle off the road, onto the median and fired several shots at him.

Davison was taken to York Hospital where he later died.  The suspect was last seen driving a dark blue truck, possibly a Ford Ranger with front end damage.  The suspect has not been found.

Police say they are looking into the possibility this case is connected with an earlier road rage shooting, that happened just a few hours before.

At about 7 p.m. Friday night, in Monaghan Township, York County, the driver of a dark pickup truck pursued another driver recklessly, pulled up beside him and fired shots at him, nearly shooting him in the head.  That incident is being handled by Carroll Township Police.

Anyone with information is asked to contact state police at 717-264-5161.
