Incumbent Mayor Kim Bracey was sworn in for her second term in office on Monday.  Bracey read her oath of office in front of students at her Alma Mater, William Penn Senior High School, in York during her second inauguration ceremony.  During her speech, Bracey emphasized the importance of the younger generation and how their actions will impact the future of the city.

Mayor Kim Bracey said, “Present here today, you will inherit our city.  You will take ownership of every block, of every park, and every street.  All of her assets, her history, her charm, and the challenges, I stand before you today at my Alma Mater and ask that you commit yourself and your peers to uphold a positive future for yourselves and for your city.”

In August, Bracey defeated Libertarian Dave Moser with 73 percent of the vote, securing her second term as York’s mayor.
