Police in York County have an arrest warrant for a suspect involved in the theft of some scrap metal last summer. The suspect is identified as Stephen M. Drieslein, Jr., 38, no known address. Last summer the owner of a Heidelberg Township scrap yard in the 6400 block of York Road, installed surveillance cameras after his business after several thefts.
The cameras captured Drieslein loading used water heaters onto a Ford F-150 pickup truck. Drieslein is suspected of scrap metal thefts in several other areas including Maryland.
Police say Drieslein is currently in a county jail in Maryland on an unrelated charge.
