A suspected drug dealer, Carlos Rafael Almestica-Serrano, 46, is busted at an addiction recovery house for adult male drug addicts in Lancaster. Yesterday Lancaster County Drug Task Force detectives executed a search warrant room #1 on the second floor of the house in the 200 block of Hazel Street. The raid was the culmination of a month long investigation.
Almestica-Serrano was present when the warrant was executed. Inside the room police seized two bags containing approximately 57 grams or about two ounces of bulk heroin in each, for a total of 114 grams. The bags were concealed in a container of rice that was inside a brown paper bag. Three more bags containing small amounts of heroin, of about a gram each, were found in a dresser drawer. The seized heroin has a street value of approximately $30,000. Police also found a digital gram scale hidden in Almestica-Serrano’s coat sleeve.
Charges against Almestica-Serrano include Possession with Intent to Deliver Heroin and Possession Drug Paraphernalia. After arraignment he was sent t Lancaster County Prison in lieu of $250,000 bail.
