Lancaster  County Coroner Stephen Diamantoni says the death of a woman whose body was found in Clay Township over the weekend was homicide.  Dr. Diamantoni says the results of an autopsy revealed the woman died of “substantial trauma” to her body.  He also told FOX43 that his office is examining dental records in order to positively identify the victim.

The woman’s body was discovered late Sunday afternoon in the area of Laurel Drive in the Middle Creek Wildlife Preserve by a hiker.  The Pennsylvania State Police is investigating the case in conjunction with the Northern Lancaster County Regional Police Department.
