Masked bandit robs Carlisle store at gunpoint

An armed robber held up the Buzz Express on West Pomfret Street Sunday evening, getting away with about $500 in cash, according to police. A female employee was working when the suspect, described as a black male wearing a dark hoodie, dark jeans and a facemask entered the store at 6:15pm and pointed a gun at her, demanding money.

The employee gave the masked bandit $484 from the register.

    Why was $500 cash available at the store? Someone should have dropped money into the safe before it got that high.
