New Oxford man arrested in Hanover strong armed robbery, two others sought

Police have arrested one man and are looking for two others in connection with a strong armed robbery that occurred at a motel in Hanover on Jan. 8.

Jeffrey J. Dixon Jr., 25, is charged with robbery, criminal conspiracy, simple assault, theft by unlawful taking and receiving stolen property.

According to police reports, Dixon and two other men assaulted and robbed 23-year-old Ryan Palmer at a motel located along the 900 block of Carlisle Street in Hanover.

Police said Palmer was hiding out at the motel after robbing a bank in Littlestown on Jan. 7.

After meeting  at the motel, Dixon and the other men beat Palmer and took the stolen bank money.

Dixon was arrested on Saturday at his home and taken to York County Prison in lieu of $20,000 bail.

Police continue to search for the other attackers.

The money taken during the robbery has not been recovered, police said.

Anyone with information on the other two suspects is asked to contact authorities at 717-637-5575.

The investigation continues.

    justsayin, wonder if your response would be different if it was you or someone you care about was going through this. O, I bet the real you would shine in a manner that is unbecoming of your own judgement, that would render you guilty by your own standards. The thing is this, before one can judge,1st- all the facts need to come out. 2nd be careful of judging when not one, i mean not one is sinless.

      I understand that someone may be going through this and be innocent….all I was saying was "Ginger" sounded very uneducated and dumb….given all the language she used. It's not always what you say, it's how you say it. If you want to me heard and listened to then you better find a better way of expressing yourself!

    Love people who have the bravery to make hateful comments online and anonymously. Bet you would not have the nerve to say this to people's face. People who hide behind these comments are jokes. I like the newspaper and online forums that force you to login in through your facebook account. Can't hide in those instance. Cowards easily judge.
