Ravens offensive coordinator Jim Caldwell agreed Tuesday to become the Detroit Lions’ new head coach.

With Caldwell’s departure from Baltimore, the Ravens will now look to hire their third offensive coordinator in a span of 13 months.

Caldwell, who had interviewed the past couple weeks for the head coaching vacancies with the Lions, Tennessee Titans and Washington Redskins, replaces Jim Schwartz who was fired last month after a 7-9 regular season.
