Below, you’ll find today’s weather discussion, but first…

Today, Chief Meteorologist MaryEllen Pann & Morning Meteorologist Jeff Jumper went to State College for the NWS’ media workshop.

Andrea Michaels and I joined electronically, and we all discussed some interesting topics about winter weather as a group.

DREW AND ANDREA

Now, to the weather…

This afternoon, we’ll have a passing shower or snow shower.  The clouds will linger into the night, and we’ll drop to 30 for the low.

DOPPLER

On Thursday, we’ll enjoy partly sunny skies.  Expect a seasonal high of 38.

The clouds return on Friday.  In the afternoon, we’ll have scattered snow showers as a weak area of low pressure (a clipper) passes over us.  We’ll keep you updated on this.

We’ll have very cold air aloft on Thursday—cold enough for snow—despite having a high above freezing at 36.

We’ll see more clouds than sun on both Saturday and Sunday.  Highs will hover in the low 30s.

We’ll keep an eye on another clipper for Sunday.  Today’s computer model runs have it diving south of us.

On Monday, expect more of the same.  We have our eye on yet another clipper.  This one looks as if it will pass to our north, but we’ll certainly keep tracking this one.

Rinse and repeat right into Tuesday and Wednesday.

We continue to watch even another clipper that could bring more snow showers.

Too early to tell; though, we can tell that we have an active weather pattern from the end of this week through the middle of next week.

Highs in the 30s last for the entire 7-day forecast.

I look forward to seeing you tonight on Fox43 WMPT news at 4, 5, and 10 PM.
