Pedestrian struck and killed in York County

A 21-year-old Carlisle man has died after being hit by a truck in Franklin Township, York County.

The accident happened around 7 a.m. along Twin Hills Road.

The York County Coroner’s Office said  Connor Waterfield’s car got stuck in a ditch and he was on the road, when he was struck and killed by a pickup truck.

That pickup truck was driven by 28 year old Mark Hanusa of Franklin Township.

The truck was not able to stop due to the icy road conditions.

Connor Waterfield was pronounced dead at the scene.

Northern York County Regional Police are investigating the accident and they ask anyone with any information to contact them at 717-292-3647.
