TONIGHT

A little disturbance passes by tonight so clouds will increase this evening. There could be a few flurries or light snow showers north and west of Harrisburg.  Mainly light stuff expected and nothing more. Lows will dip into the mid and upper 20s.

AM Metrovision

TOMORROW

Another clipper system drops in from the Great Lakes, thickening our clouds in the afternoon, after a partly sunny day.  There is a chance for light rain or showers in the late afternoon but a better chance of light snow showers towards evening.  Not expecting much initially but after all is said and done by Saturday morning, it is likely we could see a coating to an inch across parts of the area. Higher amounts possible across Mifflin and Juniata Counties. Highs will warm into the upper 30s to the north, more milder in the lower 40s further south and east.

WEEKEND OUTLOOK

Temperatures will trend colder for Saturday with highs around 30 after a morning low in the low 20s. Skies will be mostly cloudy early but there will be more sunshine into the afternoon.  Heading into the evening clouds will return as the next clipper system moves in bringing another small chance for light snow flurries and snow showers.  They should be out early Sunday morning leaving the day partly sunny with highs a bit warmer in the mid 30s.

Weekend Outlook

NEXT WEEK VIEW

With several clippers rotating through every other day, they will reinforce colder air especially by next week.  Monday a clipper moves along the New York-PA border so we should see nothing more than a few flurries but the next one for Tuesday looks a bit more potent and could bring light wintry precipitation to the area amounting to nothing more than a coating at this point. What it will do is allow the east coast trough to dig further south and much colder air spills in.  We’ll see lows in the single digits with highs only in the teens and lower 20s.
