A Dauphin County jewelry store owner watched as her daughter was fatally shot while they were both robbed during a purse-snatching in Philadelphia over the weekend.
Philadelphia Police say 26-year-old Amber Long was walking with her mother in the Northern Liberties section of the city around 10:30 Sunday night when they were both robbed. Amber , was then shot and killed.
Amber’s mother, owns the Goldcrafter’s Corner in Lower Paxton Township. Kim Wilson, is the store manager and family friend of the Long’s who says she still can’t believe this senseless act of violence.
“Stephanie had to witness that. It’s something she’s going to remember for the rest of her life. TO know that’s the last way she’d ever see Amber it’s just..I can’t even imagine,” says Wilson
Philadelphia Police are still searching for the three suspects involved in the shooting. They received a tip earlier in the week that turned out not to be true.
