BREAK FOR ONE:  It’s a one day break…from the clouds and snow showers.  It’s still down right cold and breezy at times.  Highs today will top out in the upper teens with sun and some clouds mixing in at times.  We’re thickening the clouds late with mostly cloudy skies and some flakes overnight into daybreak.  Temps barely drop overnight.

WEEKEND:  Expect snow showers and clouds for the day on Saturday.  A slightly stronger clipper moves through, with some light accumulations across the area in the range of 1-2” for many.  Snow tapers late.  Highs make it to the upper 20s!  Sunday, we’ll see some sunshine with clouds mixing at times as temperatures roll back into the low 20s.  A few snow showers arrive toward midnight with the next clipper.

NEXT WEEK:  It’s frigid – downright cold with another blast of arctic air.  Monday begins with some light snow showers coming to a close through the day.  We start in the 20s and end in the teens with winds adding to the chill.  Then, the arctic chill slams into play with single digits and negatives for lows and only middle teens for highs.  The breeze will add chill to the already cold air.  That’s how January 2014 will end!

Have a great Friday and enjoy the weekend!
