Police arrest woman who tried to pass phony $100 bill

A woman is being charged after she allegedly tried to buy a pack of cigarettes with a fake $100 dollar bill.

Susquehanna Township Police are charging Typeachea Thompson, 29, with Forgery and False reports to law enforcement.

Police received her identity from a tipster that called detectives and identified Thompson as the woman who tried to by a pack of Newport cigarettes with a phony $100 bill.

The incident happened at Rite Aid on 3601 Walnut street in Susquehanna township on January 6.
