Hundreds of middle and high school brainiac’s from across the state showed off their robotic creations at Penn State York today.
35 team, including four from York County, competed in the first tech challenge, South Central PA Regional Qualifier “Block Party” Robotics Competition. Students have worked on the robots all year-long, and today they battled it out against other teams, in hopes of qualifying for the State Championship.
“These guys have worked very very hard on robots, on their skills, mechanical, electrical, programming skills and now they are here being judged for their accomplishments, so this is an amazing celebration of what these teams have accomplished, what these students have accomplished, not only here, but what they can accomplish in life.” Thomas Zawislak, FTC Affiliate Partner.
Qualifiers in today’s competition will next compete in the state championship in March at Millersville. Teams that qualify there, will then proceed to the Super Regional in April at the
