Man arrested, charged with stealing $32K worth of Xbox consoles

A New Jersey man was extradited back to Pennsylvania Friday after a warrant was issued for his arrest in connection with stealing $32,000 worth of Xbox game consoles from a North Middleton business on July 8, 2013.

Jean W. Samedi, 35, of Irvington, NJ, was extradited Friday from New York to Cumberland County Prison. He is charged with theft by unlawful taking, theft of property lost, mislaid or delivered by mistake and receiving stolen property.

Samedi is accused of stealing the game consoles in early July from CEVA Logistics located along the 1500 block of Distribution Drive.

North Middleton Township Police issued an arrest warrant for Samedi in November. He was arrested Jan. 9 at Kennedy Airport.

Samedi was taken to Cumberland County Prison in lieu of $75,000 bail.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Feb. 3.
