The young woman, serving those in town for the Sundance Film Festival, appeared stunned. Hand over mouth she sniffled and stared at the money. Eventually the tipsters stepped in and explained.
The tipsters were with Give Back Films — filmmakers who seek out deserving people or those in need. The housekeeper’s boss spoke with the filmmakers and explained how she came to work at the motel after looking for a place to stay and exceeded all expectations.
Still, the woman wanted to give back the money.
“I cannot accept this,” she said. “You have to take it back.”
But the filmmakers refused and left her with $500 cash.
