Victim of a fatal hit and run released from prison hours before he was struck

An unknown driver hits and kills a man along I-83 in York County, hours after the man was released from York County Prison.  Pennsylvania State Police say Abel Edward Zwiep, 35, was being held in prison for charges related to public drunkenness.  The York County Coroner says he died as a result of multiple blunt force injuries.  Police say he was walking along I-83 N near exit 22 when he was hit and killed.  Just after 3:30 Monday morning, police loaded a stretcher with him on it into an ambulance.  Police say he was seen walking an hour before the incident was reported.  A passerby found the body while traveling Northbound.

If you have any information on the driver, contact State Police at 717-428-1011.

Wonder if he stopped anywhere for drinks before he took a walk? Wonder if the driver did?

"I think I just smashed a deer," the driver texted.
