With the Super Bowl right around the corner businesses like Marco’s Restaurant and Pizzeria in Marietta, Lancaster County, are stocking up with extra supplies to accommodate what they hope will be extra demand. Marco Sardi owns the restaurant. He plans on going through roughly 100 pounds of Mozzarella and gallons of sauce on Sunday. As busy as he hopes to get, he said the quality of each pizza won’t change.
Marco’s family has made pizza for almost half a century. For the last 20 years Marco has taken charge of the day-to-day operations and is looking forward to this Sunday like most retailers look forward to the holiday shopping season. “Super Bowl does provide for us probably the largest turn out in any one day of pizza, wings and sandwich sales” said Sardi.
He said he can sell as much as 160 pounds of wings and a hundred sandwiches, but his specialty is pizza.
