What did you wake up to Wednesday morning?  Many people are still without power.  Cleaning up may be easier said than done.

Jim Tuccio, of York, says, “You never know what’s going to happen.”

Tuccio didn’t know what happened when he was woken up in the middle of the night.  He says, “Last night I heard a big crack around 4:30-5 in the morning.  And I thought someone came in the back door so I came down never thinking about going outside.”

The culprit wasn’t a person, it was a tree.

Tuccio says, “So when we got up this morning and looked out the yard, the whole tree is just, it came down, a mess…If you see, the lines over here got tree limbs all over it.”

Some people still made it out on the roadways.  But Rick Kohler of Springettsbury Township made other plans.  He says, “I’m going to work on hooking the generator up.  I have a little generator so I can keep my heater running.”

Kohler worries about his safety.  “Is a limb going to fall on us or what?”

Until electric companies safely remove the tree, it rests on a power line, keeping many in the dark.

Tuccio says, “HAHA, icing on the cake, wow, what are you going to do, it’s life it happens.”

Electric companies advise you to report any outages and stay patient as they work on restoring your power.
