Harrisburg man sent to federal prison on firearms conviction

A Harrisburg man is sentenced to 9 years in prison after pleading guilty in federal court in Harrisburg to Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon. Carl Murphy, Jr., 33, plead guilty to possessing a loaded firearm in federal court last March.  Murphy has multiple prior felony convictions making him ineligible to possess a firearm.

In addition to his prison sentence, Murphy faces three years probation and ordered to pay a fine of $500.
