Two men are shot during a robbery at a Dauphin County motel. It happened around 1:17am at the Rodeway Inn, 631 Eisenhower Boulevard in Swatara Township.
Police responding to the scene found the victim in the nearby Capital Diner on 800 Eisenhower Boulevard. He suffered a gunshot wound to the chest. He told police he shot the man who robbed him as well.
Police found the suspect, Mario Shockley, 25, of York, in the back seat of a car driven by his accomplice, Brittany Pitts, 23, also of York. Shockley was also shot in the chest.
Both the victim and Shockley were taken to Hershey Medical Center and are undergoing surgery for their injuries. Shockley and Pitts are being charged with robbery, aggravated assault and persons not to possess a firearm.
Police said the victim did have a permit for his gun.
