Arrest warrant issued for Lancaster City shooting suspect

An arrest warrant has been issued for a man wanted in connection with a weekend shooting in Lancaster City.

It happened Sunday around 2:17 p.m. near Queen and James Street. The 24-year-old victim was taken to a local hospital where he underwent emergency surgery. Police say he had been shot in the torso. The victim is listed in serious, but stable condition.

Detectives have linked 19-year-old Jorge Omar Garcia Jr., of Manheim Twp, to the shooting and have issued a warrant for his arrest.

Garcia faces numerous charges including aggravated assault, violation of uniform firearms act, and recklessly endangering another person.
