A Lancaster County man faces charges for allegedly threatening a call taker for PennDOT.   PennDOT officials contacted Lower Paxton Township Police over the weekend in reference to the call made Friday to its call center in Dauphin County.

They said that Robert Scott Perkner, 66, of Turtle Hill Road in Leola, called in reference to a suspended registration plate. At the end of the call, Perkner is alleged to have threatened to “start shooting people” when the call taker was unable to expedite the process of returning the registration plate.

Perkner was arrested at his home with the help of West Earl Township and Akron Borough Police. He was arraigned in Dauphin County on one count of Terroristic Threats, a misdemeanor.
