Man beaten, apartment ransacked in armed robbery

A Lancaster County man suffered cuts and abrasions in an armed robbery.  It happened at about 10:50 am this morning morning at the victim’s apartment in the first block of Foal Court, Oakview Estates in East Lampeter Township.

The victim told police that he was leaving the apartment when he was confronted by two black males and pushed back inside. One of the suspects displayed a handgun. The victim said that he was struck several times, knocking him to the floor.

The suspects then went through the apartment and took electronic devices and cash. Anyone with information that would help solve the case is asked to contact East Lampeter Township Police Detective Preston Gentzler at (717) 291-4676.

    Stuff like this at random is not common, especially in an apartment. Did the apt. owner owe money for drugs or gambling? Or like the case this week in Spring Garden Twp. where the dude had debt and staged a robbery and shot himself to get the creditors off his back.
