Southern York County saw some of the highest snow totals even before the second round of snow Thursday night.
In Shrewsbury, York County, some areas clocked 16 inches.
Residents spent hours digging out and using snow blowers.
They were happy to see the roads cleared in the afternoon but it was hard to find a place to put all the snow.
“As soon as I walked out I noticed it was up to my knees,” says Dervon Mayberry, who was shoveling his family’s walkway . “This is crazy, I’m going to be out here all day. I still have a lot to go with the driveway.”
“We have a flight at 7 Saturday morning to Mexico, so we have got to get out of dodge, quick,” says Steve Ditzel, also working on his driveway.
