Dauphin County Judge Andrew H. Dowling convicted Juan M. Villanueva today of the attempted burglary of a residence with persons present after a bench trial this week. The attempted burglary occurred in the 2100 block of Bellevue Road in Harrisburg on last September.

Because Villanueva’s enormous criminal history includes a prior burglary of an occupied residence, a mandatory sentence of 10-20 years of imprisonment applies.

Villanueva, who is 58 years old, was released from SCI-Camp Hill just three months before the Bellevue Road burglary after serving 12 years for burglary and robbery.

Judge Dowling set sentencing for April 3rd. Villanueva remains incarcerated at the Dauphin County Prison.
