Authorities say they have identified the man who was found dead in the basement of a home in Hellam Township on Friday morning.

According to the York County Coroner’s office, the body was that of 37-year-old Jason Nealey.

Police received a phone call from Nealey’s ex-girlfriend on Friday morning expressing concerns for his safety. No one came to the door when investigators arrived at the home along the 5500 block of Lincoln Highway.

Officers forced entry into the homeĀ  and found Nealey dead in the basement.

Authorities are still investigating what caused his death.

An autopsy is scheduled for Monday at Lehigh Valley Hospital.
