An Ephrata Borough man faces multiple charges after he attempted to break into a home during last Thursday night’s heavy snowstorm.
Police responded to a call at the home in the 100 block of East Mohlers Church Road in the borough just before 11 pm. They say Jonathan Steffy, 20, also threaten to harm residents of the home, who immediately contacted authorities.
Steffy attempted to flee in a Black Chevy Blazer over snow covered roads, but was stopped by officers a few blocks away.
Charges against Steffy include criminal attempt burglary, terroristic threatens and loitering and prowling at night.
