ukrainpeaceThe Ukrainian government and opposition forces came to an agreement this morning to end the violence in Kiev.

Ukraine President Viktor Yanukovych announced on his website that deal had been reached to bring an end to the conflict.

This came after overnight talks between government and opposition forces, as well as foreign ministers from Germany, France and Poland.

According to a presidential spokesman, the government and opposition forces are set to sign a deal at noon.

Meanwhile France and Germany’s foreign ministers took to Twitter to announce that the conflict is far from resolved.

At least 100 people have been killed in the fighting.

The protests started last November after the Ukrainian government backed out of a trade deal with the European Union in favor of Russia.
