OVERVIEW:   Cold front continues to exit east this afternoon.  High pressure builds in from the southwest overnight.  The upper level flow will be westerly or zonal meaning we stay on the mild side and also mean a couple of fast moving disturbances move through.  Then we turn much, much colder next week.

TONIGHT:  Clouds clear, temperatures get quite chilly dropping to the upper 20s.

WEEKEND OUTLOOK:   We start the weekend dry, mostly sunny and mild with highs in the low 50s. Clouds increase towards evening as the next disturbance rides in overnight Saturday into Sunday. Not a lot of moisture out of it but it knocks temps back a few degrees for Sunday.  Some indications are a wave of low pressure develops along it and brings a chance for a few sprinkles or showers in the afternoon Sunday with a chance for a few snow flurries or snow showers in the evening and overnight Sunday. Highs will still be above average in the middle to upper 40s.

COLD SHOT RETURNS NEXT WEEK:  A series of clipper type systems will reinforce colder air for the upcoming week while an upper level trough digs and deepens over the east coast.  With those clipper type systems, it looks like a couple of chances for snow showers for Tuesday and Wednesday.    They will also usher in even colder air to end the week.

ROUNDING OUT FEBRUARY:  The coldest air of the week invades Thursday and Friday as temperatures plummet to the teens and 20s.  March is looking to start out cold but rebound to near average after the first couple of days.

Have a super nice weekend!
