Police have arrested two men in connection with the Aug. 3 shooting death of a Lebanon man, but a third suspect remains at large, authorities said Friday.

Juan Rodriguez-Torres, 33, of Lebanon, was gunned down along Mifflin Street near 9th Street in Lebanon City on Aug. 3 2013. Police believe Rodriguez was killed over an unpaid debt.

On Friday, investigators arrested 35-year-old David Rivera and 26-year-old Jorge Roque Jr., both of Lebanon, with Rodriguez-Torres’ death. The pair were taken to the Lebanon County Correctional Facility without bail. A third man, 23-year-old Jones Torres, of Lebanon, remains at large.

All three men are charged with criminal homicide, criminal conspiracy to commit homicide, persons not to possess firearms, possession of a firearm without a license, perjury and tampering with evidence.

Roque and Torres are also charged with obstruction of justice and hindering apprehension.

Police have identified Rivera as the gunman who shot Rodriguez-Torres. According to police reports, Roque was driving the getaway vehicle and Torres was a passenger.

Anyone with information on Torres’ whereabouts is asked to contact police at 717-272-6611.
