Man charged with threatening to shoot Congresswoman’s staff member

A Lebanon man was arrested Monday morning after he threatened to shoot a member of Rep. Mauree Gingrich’s staff, according to police reports.

Pennsylvania state police arrested Delbert Fred Hoy for threatening a 25-year-old female employee at the congresswoman’s office located at 445 W. Penn Avenue in Cleona Borough.

According to police reports, Hoy told the employee he would shoot someone if his public welfare wasn’t corrected.

Hoy, 65, was arrested by state police troopers with the assistance of Lebanon City Police. He was arraigned and is awaiting a preliminary hearing.
